A quick exit from work premises in an emergency using proximity reading technology

Trains between Wareham and Weymouth were today (Thursday) delayed up to an hour due to a fire underneath a train at the beginning of the morning rush hour. About 20 passengers were led to safety from the train at Upwey Station while the crew on the train extinguished the blaze. A bus service was put into service between Dorchester South and Weymouth. South West Trains said trains had now returned to normal and apologised to its passengers for any inconvenience caused.
