More strikes are planned by Southampton council workers in a dispute over a proposed pay cut. Thirteen port health workers are due to walk out next week for five days causing major disruption, the Unite and Unison unions said. Other council staff in the area are set to follow them. In February, as part of Southampton City Council’s budget cuts, it said all workers earning more than £17,500 would have their pay cut.
