Clocking system contains Fire Roll Call technology to increase staff safety

Fire crews managed to contain a landfill site blaze at Somerley. The fire fighters were called to the Blue Haze site in the early hours. Four pumps from Hampshire Fire and Rescue and one from Dorset’s fire service were required at the scene in Verwood Road throughout most of one day to tackle the problem. Hampshire Fire and Rescue said the fire had been "contained to one cell" in the landfill. The site is near to the Somerley stately home.
