The new rota will allow staff to work a three-day week. Bosses at the Royal Berkshire Hospital say switching to this regime could save £500,000 a year. The potential gains were identified in the Royal Berkshire Hospital’s Council of Governors Meeting in January. The Royal Berkshire Hospital said it would discuss the proposed changes with individual ward teams and would not impose new shifts.

Time and Attendance Southern shift pattern monitoring clocking systems deal with the simple collection of employees’ clocking data, through to extensive labour hours analysis. Using the WinTA software you can create a wide range of daily working patterns (shifts), with either fixed or flexitime rules, and supply working rules to calculate the correct result. These can run past midnight, making night shifts simple to define. Overtime is easily monitored, and both paid and unpaid breaks are easy to define and calculate.
