Picket lines were set up at Weymouth job centre, the Land Registry and Weymouth Magistrates Court today (Thursday). Members of the Public and Commercial Services Union were striking in protest at public sector pensions. Dorset branch member of the PCS John Aitken said: “Usually we have a very good turnout on picket lines in Weymouth.” He added the strike was on behalf of everyone, saying: “It’s not only our pensions, it’s everybody’s pensions. They are talking about increasing retirement age.”
