Thieves deciding to strike at a Portsmouth D-Day museum just before it opened have been described as “horrendous”. The front of the building was damaged in a break-in soon after midnight earlier this week. Portsmouth City Councillor Lee Hunt remarked that the incident as “horrendous”. Cllr Hunt also said: “This will not deter us, we’ll repair the damage, we’ll do everything we can to catch those responsible, and we will have our fantastic opening as soon as possible.”
